Arya

The whole kingdom. Slowly getting shrouded in darkness. Slowly covering up my soon to be kingdom. The crowds all surrounded the castle to decide my fate. I was turning 16 in two years but the kingdom was already starting to succumb to the Enchantress's wishes. It wasn't pretty.
Mother and Father got a letter from a place I hadn't heard of before. They took one look at me, a look at each other, then nodded. That was it. They had already made up their minds.
I cut my hair short for the journey, it grew fast so by the time I get to wherever I was going, it would be long again. The clothes I wore were darker than I usually wear so as to blend with my surroundings as I traveled. They were also comfortable to move in, in case I had to run or fight. With my distinctive features, I also wore a mask so I wasn't as recognizable.
It didn't take long for me to pack a few extra clothes and say my goodbyes. Mother, teary eyed gave me the longest hug I've ever gotten from her, and I thought all her hugs were long. This time though, I didn't want her to let go. Father gave me a small necklace. It was supposed to be my coronation present.
I gave Mother and Father one last hug and jumped into the carriage that arrived to the castle so suddenly. As it started to move towards the darkness, I looked through the back as my parents turned to tiny dots in the distance. I don't know what to expect when I get to my destination, or even if I'll get there in one piece, but no matter what will happen, I am looking forward to it.
